U.S. Army tests APEX counter-drone round for Apache

The U.S. Army recently tested a new 30‑mm Aviation Proximity Explosive (APEX) round for the AH‑64 Apache helicopter at the Yuma Test Center, Arizona. The trials assessed the munition’s capability to target unmanned aerial systems with the Apache’s existing M230 cannon.
