Man in Michigan synagogue attack lost family members in Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, official says

Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a 41‑year‑old Lebanese‑born naturalized U.S. citizen, drove a vehicle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Detroit, during a potential mass‑casualty event. Security guards killed him before he could harm staff or 140 children. Ghazali had lost two brothers, a niece and a nephew in an Israeli airstrike on March 5 in Lebanon.
