Italian prosecutors have requested a trial for Amazon’s European unit and four executives over alleged $1.38 billion tax evasion. Amazon previously agreed to pay 527 million euros to settle the dispute. Unlike prior cases where settlements closed investigations, Milan prosecutors chose to continue the probe without sharing the tax authority’s approach.
