Investigators work to determine exact reason for attack at Michigan synagogue

Investigators are determining why a 41‑year‑old naturalized U.S. citizen from Lebanon, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, drove a vehicle armed with a rifle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. He crashed into the synagogue, then drove down a hallway, causing the car to catch fire. Security killed him; no staff, teachers, or 140 children were injured.
