FDA finds little evidence that a generic drug could help many people with autism

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a generic drug, leucovorin, for a rare brain disorder, but found little evidence it benefits people with autism. The medication aids children and adults who cannot absorb enough folate into the brain. The decision also reversed earlier statements by President Trump and other officials.
